New QP for you!

WOW it has been forever since I posted. My poor, neglected blog. I have been crazy busy with everything and my blog seems to suffer because of it.

Fall has come and almost gone so quickly. We celebrated Baylee's 11th birthday on the 2nd of October. She had a great time swimming with friends, and back home for a slumber party complete with makeovers, popcorn and movies. I bought her a cell phone for her birthday. What was I thinking???!!!

We celebrated Halloween by trick or treating and going to a great Halloween party with friends. Baylee won best costume contest as a zombie bride! Now the holidays are right around the corner and the busy-ness will definitely get worse!

I am having a blast being a CT member for my designers. I love their work and enjoy getting some scrappin' done in the process! Here are a couple layouts that I have done over the month, as well as a new Fall QP for you to download!

I don't even know where to start its been so long! Okay, here goes......over at Brownie Scraps......

I did this spooky layout with Flutterbye Faery Designs' fun Wicked kit. I think this is my favorite of the many I did over the past few weeks. I absolutely love the picture of Baylee and Cooper on Halloween last year :)

I'll keep it going with Flutterbye Faery's great new winter kit, Let it Snow. This is one of the many beautiful pictures my sister sends me from Northern Minnesota of the deer family that visits her throughout the winter foraging for food. She definitely is the "crazy deer lady". (Sorry, sis, had to throw that in there, lol, love ya).

I used another Halloween photo (Lord knows I don't have a shortage of them) with a kit that was a collaboration between Ramona the Pest and Scrappin Daisies Designs, Witching Hour.

Scrappin Daisies Designs (Bethany) is getting a headstart on the holidays with this fun new kit, Holly Day.

It was busy month for Gone Scrappin Designs as well, and Lyndie has come out with a few new kits of her own.

This one was done with a kit called Be-Witching. I love these photos of her and Haley, her BFF.

Also from Lyndie is this kit, Lost in the Moment, that I had to use this picture of my parents on their wedding day back in 1955.

Last but not least, this is one I did with an older kit of Lyndie's, My Little Garden. This is our family photo we took in August.

Now on to your QP! Pumpkin Fest was offered on the Gone Scrappin Designs blog all month, and now you can have this QP too! Kudos to Lyndie and Nikki on this fabulous kit!

Download Here

Whew! Am I done yet, lol? I think so! Hopefully November will slow down a bit for me. I know, it's wishful thinking.......My goal for November is to post twice. Keep your fingers crossed!

Thanks for stopping by, see ya soon in my scrappy world!

Happy Fall???!!

WOW with the gorgeous summer weather we have been having, I can't believe it is soon to be fall. I could really go for some cooler weather :)

End of summer means the Minnesota State Fair. I had not gone for 15 years, and Baylee had never been there. We decided to go a couple weeks ago and had a great time. She loved the animals, and was able to even watch a live dog spaying which she was very thrilled to see. Here are some pics of our fun day :)

Baylee headed back to school last Tuesday, starting 5th grade. So far so good. She likes her teacher so far and insists she is going to "buckle down" in the homework department. We'll see. Here are a couple of pics of her at the bus stop. She insists that "this is the last time for photos at the bus stop Mom". I will be hiding down the street with the zoom lens :)

In my scrappy world, I didn't get a QP finished, but I did get several pages done using some kits from the amazing designers I CT for.

Bethany at Scrappin Daisies Designs has been busy with these two new kits. You can pick up both kits at Brownie Scraps.

This was a super fun kit called Lemon Drops and Gum Drops, and reminded me of when Baylee was little singing the Barney song. I think I sang it to myself the whole time I was working on these pages.

This was the first day of 3rd grade two years ago :)

This was a birthday party she attended for her cousin and some friends.

This was a super cute little boy kit, Rough and Tuff. Of course, I had to use my favorite little boy, Cooper, as the model for these pages :)

This beautiful kit, Dreaming of Poppies, was made by Flutterbye Faery Designs, and you can pick it up Brownie Scraps.

Gone Scrappin Designs by Lyndie has this new kit, A Day at the Fair, and you can pick up at Designs in Digital. It was perfect for my new fair pictures.

I also did a couple more layouts with kits by Gone Scrappin Designs by Lyndie that you can again pick up at Designs in Digital.

This kit is called Midway, appropraite I think.

This is called Come Sail Away, and I used it for these pictures of our favorite day on our Disney Cruise in 2006.

That about wraps it up for this week. Hoping to kick out a QP or two in the next couple weeks, so please check back often.

Have a great week everyone!

QP Freebie Friday!

Fall is just around the corner and school will be starting in another week or so. I thought I would share a picture of Baylee when she started kindergarten (see right). She will be in 5th grade now, ruling the elementary school. WOW, does time fly.

I have a few new layouts to show off this week, plus another QP for you! I am on a roll now :)

Make sure you stop by Brownie Scraps next week for a whole new month of challenges and new kits! I am hosting the Cherry on Top challenge this month so it should be fun!

These layouts are using the new kit, Fruity-liscious, by Flutterbye Faery Designs. This was a super fun kit to use! Perfect for those end of summer layouts! You can pick up the kit at Brownie Scraps.

These were made with Scrappin Daisy's Just Classy kit you can also find at Brownie Scraps. Bethany has another fabulous kit coming out next week, I am working on some new stuff as we speak! Stop by next week to take a peak!

Here is a preview of the Quick Page I did with this, you can download below.

Download QP Here

I also did this cute layout of my nephew Jon and Coop with GSD Designs By Lyndie's new All My Heart kit you can find at Designs in Digital.

This is just a quick entry, as I have more scrappin' to do! Please leave a comment either here or at 4shared if you download my QP! Or, even if you don't!

Thanks for stopping by!

Summer's End and Free QP!

I have been MIA, I know. Not entirely my fault, as I've had some major computer problems. But I am back with a whole new re-vamped blog that I hope you will enjoy.

Summer has flown by so fast, I can't believe that it is almost time for the kids to start back to school. Baylee will be in 5th grade this year. Her last year in elementary school. I am starting to feel a bit melancholy, that's for sure. She will be starting her 6th year of dance in September as well. She will be competing this year, in a pre-performing class once again at the same dance studio.

In the digi world, it has been hard keeping up with my computer problems, but I seemed to manage. I am now creating for Flutterbye Faery Designs (Evie) over at Brownie Scraps, and was just asked to join Lyndie's CT at Gone Scrappin Designs with her store being at Designs in Digital. I am still on the Scrappin Daisies CT as well, and I think that should be it for me. I'm really excited! I am hoping to offer a QP weekly, or at least bi-weekly for you, and am going to try my hand at WordArt, so check back often :)

Scrappin Daisies has this great kit out called Rainy Afternoon, that you can pick up here. Here are a couple of layouts I did with it.

(WordArt by Natali Designs)

GSD by Lyndie has this kit, Fish Tales, available here at Designs in Digital. Here is a layout I did with it.

Last but not least here is a fun one by Flutterbye Faery Designs, DayDream Scapes, that you can pick up here, and also my QP using this kit.

(WordArt by Natali Designs)

And here is your QP! Click on the link under the preview to download. Please leave me a comment :)

Download QP Here

Here is a cute one I did using the August mini-kit at Brownie Scraps by Dreamer's Magic Designs. I also used this kit for my new header on my blog.

That about wraps it up for my revamped blog. Not all that different, but yet still full of fun ideas for you.
I hope to be back next week with more goodies!
Have a great week, everyone!

Free QP and Blog Train!

I have entered the CT Throwdown contest at Digi Scrap Addicts. Several of us CT members from Brownie Scraps entered as teams. The team with the most points after 4 weeks wins. We do one digi scrapbook challenge a week until then, and will be using Dreamer's Magic Design's kits. This week's idea was red, white and black, with a wedding theme. Here is what I came up with for my submission.

This is my nephew Jon and his wife Sara on their wedding day back in 2002.

If you like what you see, vote for us until midnight tomorrow night! You need not be a registered member to vote! Click here to vote for The Dream Team :)

Here is the kit I used, Moonlit Dreams, by Dreamer's Magic Designs. You can pick it up here.

My friends at Brownie Scraps helped me package this all up to offer it to you as a Quick Page!

The others on the "Dream Team" also have their Quick Pages up for grabs. Stop by their blogs and pick them all up!

Summertime, Summertime, Sum, Sum, Summertime

WOW! Has it really been almost two months since I posted? Summer has just gotten away from me! We have been busy to say the least. June came and went in a flurry, didn't it? Hope everyone has been having a great summer so far!

We were fortunate to spend the 4th of July up at my sister's in Duluth. It was a nice, relaxing weekend. Fireworks, bonfires, s'mores and beer. Who could ask for more, lol? Baylee drove the 4-wheeler for the first time by herself. She thought she was quite special ;) I was very proud of her for conquering her fears. Now I wish I could do the same with me. I hate the machines, and everyone says to just "get over it" lol. Maybe soon, just not right now.

Baylee and her Eenie, my sister Brenda.

Look at that face!

In scrappy news, I have done quite a few digi layouts since I last posted. I also will be joining my fellow Creative Team members over at Brownie Scraps for the "CT Throwdown" contest at Digital Scrap Addicts. Should be fun. I have not done paper scrapping in a while. I have a layout on my desk that has been sitting there for four months. Just haven't been in the mood. Maybe by the end of the summer.

Now on to the good stuff.

Scrappin Daisies has a new kit out just in time for the 4th, its called All American and I had the perfect pictures for it after this past weekend. You can get it here.

Brownie Scraps designers have come up with a great collaboration kit for July, called Pickleberry Pie. I still want to do another layout with this kit, it was so cute. You can get it here.

Scrappin Daisies also has this kit, Funky Town, in the shop. This one was fun to play with! You can get it here.

These were done with the June Brownie Scraps collab kit, Happy Camper. These pictures are of the 4th of July 2005 again at my sister's.

Designs by Ramona and Dreamer's Magic Designs teamed up for this kit, A Night to Remember. It was perfect for these "elegant" photos of Baylee and her BFF Haley last year at dance rehearsal.

I did this heritage page of my great-grandparents' wedding day back in 1892, with Designs by Ramona's Eastern Elegance kit you can pick up here.

This is one of my fave's, with the June Brownie Byte Kit, One Summer Day.

Last but not least, I did this layout for a friend of mine to give to his dad for Father's Day. It is a four generation picture, the baby is 15 now, just goes to show you how old the photo is, lol. Credits to Valerie Brown Designs, Sweet Blossom Designs and Natali Designs WordArt.

Whew! I can't wait this long again to post, it takes to long to upload all these, lol! I did a couple more, but the kits haven't been released yet.

That about wraps it up for the last couple months, lol. As always, I love to hear your comments and feedback. Hope everyone has a great week!

Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day everyone! Hope everyone enjoyed the long holiday weekend. We didn't do much of anything. It was a great relaxing weekend for me. Got some nice flowers planted and did some indoor swimming. I would like to take a minute and remember those who we honor on this day, the soldiers who have fought and are fighting overseas, and the soldiers who lost their lives for us to give us the freedom we so cherish.

My father was one of those people. He is going on 78 years young and can still tell you a great Korean War story. He was a mechanic in the U.S. Army's 11th Evac stationed in Korea, and even drove the MASH truck for a time. He's got some great stories, and some not so great. Here is a pic of my dad back in Korea in the early 50's. Thanks, Dad!

Moving on, I had a great Mother's Day. Baylee and I went to our favorite park on the river, set the timer on the camera and had a fun time with our little impromptu photo shoot. I do like how most of them turned out, and by the time we were done we were laughing hysterically. I am truly blessed to have her in my life and thank the Lord every day for sending her to me. I honestly don't know what I would do without her.

We also had her dance recitals last weekend and they went well. She did a great job as usual! We had one in the morning and one in the afternoon, so we ended up tail gating in the parking lot. She even lost a tooth that day, lol!

In scrappy news I have been busy with a few digital layouts for Brownie Scraps, and for myself. Scrappin Daisies Designs has a new digi kit out called Built Boy Tough. This was a fun kit to use. You can get it here.

This was another kit I really liked from Dreamer's Magic Designs. This is my sister Brenda and my grandparents.

I worked on a couple other kits from Brownie Scraps; however, they are not released yet so I can't show you the kits. But I promise I will as soon as they are released.

This was a layout I did with the pictures above. I really love how this layout turned out. Credits to Lauraskathi and Faba WordArt.

This layout was Layout of the Day at Brownie Scraps, the credits go to scrapmalin.com and the Brownie Scraps team. The WordArt is from the May Collab kit.

I've started to work on some of our Disney Cruise pictures. 'bout time, I guess, it was almost three years ago. I have done some here and there, but the pictures are calling to me more these days, as I really wish we could do another cruise.

This one is of Baylee and her Grandpa Riddle walking into the ocean the night before our cruise. Credits to Dreamer's Magic Designs.

This was pirate night on the cruise, one of Baylee's favorite nights. Credits to scrapmalin.com.

Short week coming up, I can't believe the long weekend went so fast. Hope everyone has a fantastic week, and as usual please leave a comment if you stop by.

Have a great week everyone :)
